Tucked away at the rear of the old general store, which now serves as the reception, you will discover the serene and tranquil Landhandleriet Café. This delightful café overlooks the harbor and boasts magnificent views of the mountains, making it the ideal spot for relishing a light meal or snack. A famous dish served at the café is its mouth-watering traditional fish soup, which is a must-try. Additionally, you can purchase dried stockfish, a specialty of Lofoten, at the café. Once the office of the hamlet owner himself, Mr. Dahl, the café is situated above the waterfront and offers a peaceful ambiance. The general store, dating back to 1907, has preserved its original interior, and upon entering, you'll feel as though you've been transported back in time. Keep an eye out for unusual characteristics and remnants from its past as a grocery and post office for the local residents. Landhandleriet Café can also be reserved for private events and dining experiences.
