Holandsmelen is a popular hiking trail located in the Lofoten Islands of Norway, known for its panoramic views and stunning landscapes. The hike takes you to the summit of Holandsmelen, which is a distinctive mountain peak rising 564 meters above sea level, offering commanding views of the surrounding islands, fjords, and coastal scenery.

Holandsmelen is located on the island of Austvågøya, which is one of the main islands in the Lofoten archipelago. The trailhead is typically accessed from the village of Henningsvær, which is a popular tourist destination in the Lofoten Islands.

The hike is considered moderately challenging, with a well-marked trail that involves some steep sections and but overall isn't too challenging. It's well worth it!

The hike typically takes around 3-4 hours round trip, depending on your pace and the weather conditions.

There is a rocky scramble towards the summit, which gives you one of the most famous views in Lofoten! This is one of our favorite hikes here and we do it a few times a month :)
