Explore one of the most incredible peaks in Lofoten—Håen, a view and experience you'll never forget.

Embracing the heights of Håheia (438 m), this peak claims its rank as Værøy's second-highest summit. It stands distinct among the archipelago's peaks, boasting the exclusive privilege of a road—albeit private—that winds its way to a NATO station. Once you get to the top, you'll see the breathtaking panorama from the summit—a feast for the eyes that reveals, on clear days, the mesmerizing Svartisen glacier on the distant Norwegian mainland, an astonishing 120 km away.

On this hike you'll find two routes up: traverse the NATO road leading to Håheia or take the route via Hornskaret, traversing the ridge path to the summit. Should you opt for the paved route, you'll get a glimpse into caves where the resilient inhabitants of Værøy once captured eagles with their bare hands, an ancient artistry from centuries past.

At the top, you'll be greeted by one of Lofoten's most famous views!
