The Eiger Trail is a must-see for outdoor lovers visiting the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. This 6km hike follows the mountainside right along the North Face of the Eiger, offering unbeatable views across the Lauterbrunnen Valley to Mürren and down to Grindelwald. The panoramic vistas make it perfect for photos, with plenty of places to stop and catch your breath or to just enjoy the scenery. The short distance makes the trail accessible no matter skill level; it's also mostly downhill so you won't be struggling up any steep inclines. Estimated duration 2h50min, 80m ascent, 783m descent. The trail starts at the lookout point above Eigergletscher station.
