The Church of Saints Clement and Panteleimon is a historic church located in Ohrid, North Macedonia. It dates back to the 9th century, when Saint Clement was invited to Ohrid by Boris I of Bulgaria. The building was used as a teaching centre and place of worship for his followers, making it one of the oldest discontinued universities in Europe. It has undergone numerous changes throughout the centuries and stands today on a hill overlooking Lake Ohrid. This church is an important site for Macedonian Orthodox Christians, who gather to celebrate worldly and holy occasions such as Easter and Christmas. Inside the church, visitors can find fascinatingly detailed mosaics as well as Saint Clement's tomb. Exploring the Church of Saints Clement and Panteleimon is an exciting journey into the past for anyone interested in ancient history.
