H. Dana Bowers Rest Area & Vista Point is a northbound rest area and vista point offering incredible views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco city skyline, and Alcatraz Island. Whether it's to explore the city or rest up after a long journey, H. Dana Bowers Rest & Vista Point is sure to provide an enjoyable experience!

The rest area is only accessible from the northbound side of the highway, so if you are traveling southbound towards San Francisco, you will have to cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and turn around to access the rest area.

For those living the van or nomadic life, this rest area does allow overnight parking and has frequent highway patrol visits.
