Horsetail Fall is a seasonal waterfall in Yosemite National Park, known for its stunning display when the setting sun hits it just right. During mid-February, if conditions align perfectly with snowmelt and clear skies, the waterfall appears to glow orange and red, creating a magical "firefall" effect. This natural phenomenon has become a popular attraction for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike, drawing crowds eager to witness the breathtaking sight.

The waterfall itself is rather small and light, and can be viewed from a number of different spots in and around the Yosemite Valley. The primary viewing spot for the Firefall phenomenon is the El Capitan Picnic Area. There's no hiking trail, but it is a roughly 1.2mi walk from the nearest parking lot to the viewing area.
