Grindelwald First is the ultimate adventure playground perched high at 2,166 metres above sea level. From ziplining on the First Flyer to soaring like an eagle on the First Glider, or even racing down the mountain on a Mountain Cart or Trottibike scooter, there's no shortage of thrills here. First is where you go to kick back, relax, and let your inner adventurer run wild. You can take a 25 min cable car from Firstbahn cable car station to Grindelwald-First. (Avoid coming in November because this is when the cable cars are closed for maintenance)

📸 Suspension Bridge:
The First Cliff Walk by Tissot is an exhilarating metal suspension bridge that hangs over a 40-metre drop, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Please note this is not for the faint of heart! This thrilling walkway clings to the side of the cliff. The highlight is the viewing platform at the end of the walkway. It’s an exhilarating experience and perfect for photo opportunities. The view is unbeatable!
💦 Bachalpsee Lake
The hike from First to Bachalpsee is approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) one way and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. The trail is well-marked and easy. The lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning reflections of the surrounding peaks, making it a popular spot for photography and picnics.
Grindelwald-First offers activities through its “Adventure First” package, which includes unlimited rides on the cablecar, zip-lining, a trottibike ride, and a mountain cart ride. The First Flyer and Glider are opened during winter season, but they may close due to wind and snow conditions.
First Flyer
This thrilling zip line experience lets you soar down the mountain at speeds of up to 84 km/h (52 mph) over a distance of 800 meters (2,625 feet). It's an exhilarating way to enjoy the alpine scenery from above.
First Glider
Simulating the flight of an eagle, the First Glider pulls you backwards up the cable and then releases you to glide down at high speeds, offering a unique and thrilling aerial perspective of the mountains.
Mountain Cart
Rent a mountain cart and ride down the specially designed trails from Schreckfeld to Bort. This activity combines fun and adventure, with stunning views along the way.
Trottibike Scooter
From Bort, you can ride a Trottibike scooter down to Grindelwald. It's a fun and family-friendly way to descend the mountain, offering a unique way to enjoy the scenery.
