This is the easiest way to get up Mt. Adatara.
My advice: Using the ropeway is highly recommended for hiking Mt. Adatara.
Also, there is a day spa right at the base of the ropeway for post-hike relaxation.
Opening hours (Seasons): From late April to early November, 8am 30 to 4pm 30 (The last departure from the Sanroku Station is 3pm 30.)
About:
The Mount Adatara Ropeway is the primary access point for hikers looking to explore the scenic trails of Mount Adatara, one of Fukushima Prefecture's most famous peaks. The ropeway takes you from the base to an elevation of about 1,350 meters, where the main hiking trails begin. From the top station, it's a relatively easy and picturesque hike to the summit of Mount Adatara, which stands at 1,728 meters. The area is known for its stunning views, especially during the autumn foliage season, and the ropeway makes the mountain accessible to hikers of all levels. The trail offers a mix of volcanic landscapes, lush greenery, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
