On one of my hikes along the Shosenkyo loop trail, I discovered a hidden gem that’s now my favorite spot for photographing Mt. Fuji—Tachi no Nukiiwa. This scenic lookout is a bit tricky to locate as it is not on any map, so keep an eye out as you hike. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Shiroyama Observatory and roughly 70 minutes from Shosenkyo Ropeway Station.

For anyone looking to find it, I recommend watching my YouTube video beforehand for some helpful hints: [YouTube](https://youtu.be/UtblNl9ekSk?si=pjEGPfGWjHou-uFm).

When I finally reached Tachi no Nukiiwa, the view was absolutely worth the effort. Surrounded by peace and quiet with an uninterrupted view of Mt. Fuji, it’s an ideal place to pause, breathe, and truly appreciate the beauty of nature. Whether you’re after that perfect shot or simply a quiet moment to yourself, this hidden spot is well worth the search.
