Hike
6-8h
I've hiked Mt. Ryokami twice: once from Hinataoyaguchi and once from Kamiochiaibashi. For anyone seeking a true challenge near Tokyo, Kamiochiaibashi is the more thrilling route with numerous chain sections and ridge hiking. However, it's often closed for maintenance and icy conditions—in 2024, it’s closed until November 29th.
On the Kamiochiaibashi trail, be prepared for extensive chain sections, which slow down group hikes significantly. Our group of six had to split, with only the three fastest members reaching the summit before dark.
