I've visited Lake Chuzenji many times, and it’s a stunning spot no matter the season. In winter, the area is beautifully blanketed with snow, while autumn brings a fiery display of red and orange foliage. Spring offers a burst of flowers and fresh greenery, and in the summer, the cool air around the lake makes it a refreshing getaway.

One of the best ways to take in the beauty of Lake Chuzenji is by renting a bicycle and exploring the scenic 25-kilometer route around the lake. You’ll find several rental shops around the area, catering to both casual riders and experienced cyclists. Along the way, you’ll pass temples, peaceful lakeside spots, and panoramic viewpoints.

Here are some bike rental resources:

If you're looking for a more relaxed experience, hop on a boat and go around the lake. There are also cruises offering incredible views of the surrounding mountains and Mt. Nantai.
