This is the station for accessing Tanigawadake by public transportation. From the station, it's a 15 minute walk to the ropeway station.

Doai Station in Minakami, Gunma, Japan is known as "Japan's Number One Mole Station" because passengers have to take a 10-minute descent down a tunnel to reach the northbound platform. It's the deepest train station in Japan, with an underground platform located 70 meters below ground level. The station has two platforms, one above ground and one underground within the Shin-Shimizu Tunnel. Despite being unstaffed, it's a unique stop on the Joetsu Line that offers a memorable experience for travelers.
