Message from Tony Xia

In 2022, I visited the Iwana Fishing Pond in Minamiaizu with a few friends. Iwana (Japanese char) are freshwater fish that’s incredibly tasty when grilled.

A word of advice—be careful not to catch too many! The price increases based on how many you reel in since they cook each fish right in front of you. Watching them prepare the fish was part of the fun. We each ate 4 salt grilled fish and called it lunch.
