We stayed here on our way to Mt. Io and Mt. Tengu, and it turned out to be a great choice. It’s one of the rare mountain huts that actually has a bath, which was a welcome luxury after a long day of hiking. The views from the hut are stunning, especially at sunset—it’s definitely a highlight.
The food was absolutely delicious, and there’s even a nice picnic area with outdoor tables if you want to prepare your own meal. The stairs inside are quite steep, but the sleeping rooms are surprisingly comfortable. You can book a private room to share with 2–6 people, which adds a bit of extra comfort and privacy.
