I usually visit here in the summer when it's hot down below and if I'm on a date. Kiyosato Terrace is a refreshing escape from the summer heat of Tokyo, sitting at an altitude of 1,900 meters. The natural mountain breeze and panoramic views make it a popular spot for those seeking cooler temperatures and a peaceful retreat. The area offers various activities from scenic lift rides to hiking trails and a café with high-altitude treats.
Activities:
Panorama Lift: Enjoy a 1,100-meter-long lift ride to take in the stunning mountain scenery and escape the city heat.
Flower Lift: Glide over colorful wildflower fields during the summer months.
Hiking Trails: Serious hikers can start from the Utsukushinomori Information Center for an hour-long trek to Kiyosato Terrace, taking in the lush greenery and mountain air along the way.
Walking Courses: For those who prefer a leisurely walk, there are paths winding through the surrounding greenery.
Romantic Events: The café hosts illumination events in August, providing a romantic setting even if Mount Fuji isn’t visible.
Dining: The Terrace Café offers a range of refreshments, including ice cream, smoothies, coffee, and sweets. Relax with a treat while enjoying the view of the Japanese Alps from the highest viewpoint in the Kiyosato area.
