This is my most recommended Japan Alps hike for beginners.

I come to Mt. Norikura often, not only for the stunning views but also for the incredible mountain huts situated right up there at 2,700 meters. Staying overnight here makes it easy to catch the sunrise from a nearby viewpoint—just a quick 15-minute hike from the hut in the early morning, creating an unforgettable start to the day.

Trailhead: Tatamidaira (2,702m)
