Nabana no Sato in Mie Prefecture is one of Japan's most breathtaking illumination events and best to visit during winter season. I’ve taken both my parents and ex-girlfriends here, and I can confidently say it’s a fantastic date spot as well as a perfect place for family outings. There’s something special about walking through the Tunnel of Light, hand in hand with a loved one or enjoying the beauty with family.
The park is known for its dazzling winter illuminations, featuring over 5.8 million LED lights that create magical themed displays like "Nature" and "Waterfalls." The highlight for many is the famous light tunnel, which stretches across the park in a canopy of golden lights.
Beyond the lights, Nabana no Sato offers beautiful gardens and relaxing open-air hot spring foot baths, perfect for unwinding after exploring the park. There’s also a variety of restaurants where you can enjoy a warm meal while taking in the atmosphere.
One of the things I love about Nabana no Sato is that it has something for everyone. It’s a great place for couples looking for a romantic evening, but it’s also family-friendly, with plenty of spaces for kids to run around and explore.
