Message from Tony Xia

Whenever I want to escape to nature and enjoy some time away, I head to Oku-Ise Forestpia in Mie. It’s one of my favorite spots, nestled deep in the lush forests of Oku-Ise. The Miyagawa Onsen is a big draw for me—its "beauty water" is so soothing, especially after a day of hiking. The outdoor baths, and the rotating herbal bath that changes monthly, make each visit feel unique and refreshing.

Every summer, I used to swim in the nearby river, which is an incredible way to cool off after the hike, and there's also a fishing pond where you can try your hand at catching something. There’s just always so much to do, which is why I found myself coming back several times a year. The hiking trails, in particular, are great for unwinding and connecting with nature.

For anyone traveling with family or friends, this place is ideal. It’s really kid-friendly, and there’s a great BBQ area, which makes it fun for group trips. The accommodations are versatile too from hotel rooms to wood cabins.
