South Carolina doesn't get enough credit for it's beautiful waterfalls and King Creek is one of them. If you're visiting Cashiers or Highlands, take the trip down to this waterfall and spend a night at Burrells Ford Campground. The area is much less trafficked but no less stunning.

This was my very first solo hike in the Southeast and I definitely need to go back. I think this is one of the best gems in the area, getting overlooked by many of the more popular neighbors nearby.

The hike itself is relatively easy - great bang for your buck. This has a lower water flow overall so I'd recommend visiting after a rain or during the spring when the water levels are higher.
