Dreher Island State Park is a hidden gem nestled on three islands along the shores of Lake Murray, just a stone's throw away from Columbia. With 348 acres of natural beauty, this park offers everything from water activities to hiking trails and prime fishing.

My favorite tent campsites were T3 and T11-T14. We stayed in my parent's RV at site 53 but I also loved sites 54 and 55. I didn't think the bugs were super bad when we visited in May, but bring some protection as this is right on the water.

We loved having a fire at night and enjoying the sunset over the water. I brought my inflatable SUP and explored the water in the morning before the boats came out. It was perfect.
