This cable car travels between the Weggis lakeside village and Rigi Kaltbad, a small village on Mt Rigi.

The cable car runs every 30 mins in both directions, or more frequently on busy days.

Typically on the XX:10 and XX:40. The journey takes 10 mins. Check current schedule on SBB.ch or Rigi website.

How to get there

Mountain: It's a 2 min walk between the cable car station and the Rigi Kaltbad-First mountain train station.

Valley: It's a 10 min walk between the valley station and the Weggis boat dock. Or a 6 min bus ride, but it's hardly worth it since it doesn't drop you right at the boat dock anyway.

Boats leave from Weggis a few times a day, taking 38-45 mins to reach Lucerne
