Kochi Castle is a historic gem in Japan, surviving fires and wars to stand tall as one of the country's few original castles. Built in the early 17th century, it served as the residence of the Yamauchi lords during the Edo Period. What sets it apart is that the main tower was not just for defense but also living quarters. Visitors can explore the wooden interior, soak in the Edo vibes, and enjoy a nice view of downtown from the top floor lookout. It's a cool spot to step back in time and soak up some samurai vibes!
