Now for something completely different. I was very skeptical before I went here as Japan does have a lot of random style museums and galleries that can be a let down. I'm happy to say that this place is actually incredible. The insect collection at this museum showcases Japan's bugs and includes everything from butterflies to Japanese killer hornets. You'll be amazed by the diversity of insects on display and even includes an international collection of butterflies where I discovered how colorful they can be in South America.

Very, very impressive collection which lead to me making an Instagram Reel about it.

Be sure to check out the opening times carefully as this one is season with winter as the road isn't always cleared during heavier snowfalls. You will most likely need to Google translate the Japanese website (attached) to English to get the most up to date info!
