In the eastern part of the Iya Valley in Tokushima, you'll find the quirky Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridges. These unique woven bridges are steeped in history, dating back to the Heike family's escape to the valley in the 12th century. Locals lovingly call them the "husband and wife bridges" because of their close proximity. The bridges offer a picturesque spot for leaf-peeping in autumn, with vibrant foliage framing the clear blue river below. It's a must-visit for those looking for a bit of adventure in Japan's countryside
