Pont Alexandre III is a gorgeous deck arch bridge in Paris, spanning the Seine River. It is one of the city's finest works of engineering and all who cross it are treated to an extraordinary display of art and sculpture. The Beaux-Arts style bridge, featuring exuberant Art Nouveau lamps, cherubs, nymphs and winged horses, was built between 1896 and 1900 and named after Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Many movies and music videos have been filmed here, and in recent years the bridge has become the site of various sports, including diving and cycling competitions. For anyone seeking a picturesque view on a romantic evening or looking for a place to soak up the culture and relax, Pont Alexandre III should not be missed.
