Trocadéro is a part of Paris, France located in the 16th arrondissement. It is named after the Battle of Trocadero in 1823 where French forces led by the Duc d'Angoulême, son of the future King of France, Charles X emerged victorious. To commemorate this battle, the Esplanade des Droits de l'Homme, located at the Palais de Chaillot, was built overtop the ruins of the former Palais du Trocadéro. Today, Arena du Trocadéro is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike who come to take pictures of the famous Eiffel Tower or celebrate the victories of Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Thetrocadéro also hosts several museums such as the Musée Nationale de la Marine and the Musée de l'Hommein it's wings.
