The Place du Tertre is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and is a relaxed and bustling square near the summit of Montmartre. Famous for its lively atmosphere and fascinating history, Place du Tertre was previously the central square of the prestigious Benedictine Montmartre Abbey. In the late 18th century, the square attracted several famous painters and was the mecca of modern art during this time. Today, tourists can watch artists set up easels throughout the day to capture the beautiful scenery and vibrant atmosphere. In addition to street painting, visitors can explore some of the nearby attractions including Musée de Montmartre, Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, and the L'Espace Salvador Dalí Museum. Of course, no visit to Place du Tertre would be complete without exploring the nightlife, which is just as exciting as the daytime activities!
