Standing proudly at the western end of the Champs-Élysées Avenue, the monument stands tall and was created out of a neoclassical style of design. It honors those who fought for freedom and died in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The names of all victories and generals are inscribed within and around it, as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from WWI.
