Potentially one of the most popular waterfalls in all of NC and for a good reason. Make sure to get to this one relatively early in the morning to enjoy it without too many other people.

There is a good deal of parking, but on the weekends it does fill up. The hike itself is pretty reasonable and there are only a few uphill sections.

I haven't done the hike all the way through to Turtleback Falls, but I intend to! I've heard great things about the second waterfall so don't skip it if you have time (I did not).

Gorges State Park is a stunning area and there are so many waterfalls to explore. If you have the option, stay nearby or camp at the park to do multiple trails in the area.
