This is a great spot to visit in the summer.

Cool off on a hot day with a dip in Flume Falls on the West Branch of the Ausable River. About 10 miles from Lake Placid, these falls have several swimming holes that are surrounded by beautiful forest.

The Flume is located off Route 86 in Wilmington, with a parking area and trail leading to the swimming spot. This is a popular place in the summer, so go early if you want to beat the crowds!

Note: Remember that this is a wild swimming hole and not a public pool. Always leave no trace by packing out any trash, staying on established trails, and not disturbing wildlife or vegetation.
