Despite a not-so-appealing name, this stunning natural pool is one of the best places to cool off after a day of hiking in the Catskills, with plenty of places to cliff jump from the surrounding rocks.

There's a small parking area off the side of Route 23A. Park here and walk a short distance downhill until you reach the swimming hole.

You can combine this swimming hole with a hike up to Fawn's Leap by following the river upstream.

Always remember to practice Leave No Trace by packing out all of your trash in order to keep these natural places beautiful for years to come.

Please consider bringing an extra trash bag to pack out what others may have left behind.
