Ichinenzaka, Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka are the beautiful cobblestone streets of ancient Kyoto, located near Kodaiji Temple and Yasaka Shrine. Visitors can soak in the atmosphere of Japan's ancient capital as they ascend up a gentle incline while paosing to enjoy the traditional buildings, souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes that line these old streets. Highlights include a colourful temple called Yasaka Koshindo where visitors can write a wish and date on their favorite colored monkey and restaurant Sodoh Higashiyama Kyoto with magnificent Japanese gardens. There is something for everyone at this historical, quaint and picturesque area.
