The bustling district of Umeda in the Kita district of Osaka, Japan is a vibrant and exciting destination. Home to an array of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, Umeda is an essential spot for any traveller visiting Japan. Umeda has a history of being a transportation hub since the 19th century, known for its many railway terminals that make it an easily-accessible area. This was heightened with the modernisation of Osaka Station City in 2011 which provoked a surge of even more shops and restaurants between its two towers. Umeda also houses other attractions such as the colourful Umeda Sky Building which offers an impressive view of the city from 173 metres up. From the traditional and nostalgic atmosphere of Hankyu Department Store to the modern conveniences of Co-Big Man and Big Man Squares, Umeda is an ideal destination for all kinds of adventure and exploration.
