i really enjoyed this 4 star family-run hotel during my last visit to Grindelwald. While it is not in the central of the town, they have shuttle services readily available that can ferry you to and fro the hotel and train station which makes it super convenient. And the other advantage is that the whole surrounding is peaceful and quiet, while being just a 5 minute walk into town with frequent bus connections.
The room was exceptionally charming with the old-world ski charm, and the balcony looks out to stunning views of the mountains.
The hotel restaurant is lovely too: they have an afternoon cake buffet from 4pm onwards where you can relax over tea and cakes and enjoy the views on the terrac (EXCEPTIONAL views of the glacier)
Dinner and breakfast was served in classic European style.
There are spa facilities including 2 sauns, a steam bath and a relaxation room, and you also enjoy free access to the Gindelwald Sports Centre where you can use the indoor pool and ice-skating rink.
The staff are very international and courteous, they are also dressed in traditional Swiss attire which I find very cute!
Overall a great option in Grindelwald that I wholeheartedly recommend.
