The General Sherman Tree, located in Sequoia National Park, is a giant sequoia known as the largest living single-stem tree on Earth. Standing at an impressive height of 275 feet with a diameter of 36 feet, this majestic tree is estimated to be around 2,300-2,700 years old. Despite not being the tallest or widest tree, General Sherman still holds the largest tree title for its sheer volume and age, making it a must-see wonder of nature for visitors exploring the Giant Forest.

The paved trail to view this massive tree is short and wheelchair friendly.

Pet-friendly: No, pets are not permitted.

Soft adventure: Yes, absolutely!

Seasonalities: The main road in this park often closes during the winter due to snowfall

Park entry fee: $35 per vehicle
