Vikten is a small village located on the northwest coast of Norway in the Vestvågøy municipality of the Lofoten Islands. The village is situated between two majestic mountains and is surrounded by beautiful fjords, beaches, and rugged landscapes that offer spectacular views and opportunities for outdoor activities. There are multiple hikes that start from the village and take you deep into the mountains where you have 360 views.

Vikten is a hidden village most don't realize exists because the road that leads to the village looks super unsuspecting. But trust me, once you arrive you'll see why I'm suggesting you check out this place. Not to mention, it's one of the best places to watch the sunset and in the summer, the midnight sun makes the beach a super popular place for photographers.

A reminder is that this village has many sheep farmers, so be sure to drive slowly and always have your dog on a lead!
