For those seeking a more relaxed hike, I recommend driving up to the area between Pico do Facho and Pico do Castelo, where you’ll find a parking lot. From here, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the base of Pico do Facho on mostly flat terrain and take a short detour to Pico do Castelo. This option offers stunning views with minimal effort, making it ideal for those who prefer a gentler experience while still soaking in the natural beauty of Porto Santo.

However, if you’re up for a more challenging adventure, you can start the hike at the foot of the mountain and ascend to Pico do Facho. The trail is steep and requires a good level of physical fitness, but the effort is well rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the island and the surrounding ocean.
