The lower Piumogna falls are the main attraction here, easily accessed by a short walk from the train station or parking. Nearby is a large grassy picnic area with grill pits and a big playground with slides, swings and a zip line.

Optional hike

To reach the upper falls, you ride a tiny cable car, then follow the river up through a tiny alpine village. After a steep hike through the forest, you reach a viewpoint to the upper falls, totally worth the extra effort. The loop continues uphill, crossing the river that feeds the falls, with a fantastic view of the snow capped mountains above - great spot for a picnic.
