Oberer Letten is a free public swimming area along the Limmat river in Zurich city. It's a popular place for young adults to meet friends and socialize.

Oberer Letten has lounging terraces along both sides of the river. To swim, you walk up river, jump in, and float back to the lounging area where can use stairs or ladders to exit the river. Then go do it again.

The current can be strong, so this area is only for strong swimmers.

Not suitable for small children. For families, we instead suggest the safer lakeside swimming area at Mythenquai.

The west side of the river has lounging areas, changing rooms, and toilets. The east side of the river has some grassy areas for lounging and volleyball courts.
