The Penguin Parade on Phillip Island is a top pick for wildlife lovers and anyone who’s a sucker for cuteness. This park boasts the world’s largest Little Penguin colony, and every evening, you can catch these adorable seabirds waddling their way from the ocean to their cozy burrows. It’s like a nightly nature show that’s every bit as charming as it sounds.

There are a bunch of ways to watch the penguins, including ranger-guided tours that get you up close to these little guys in their natural habitat. I went for the $32 general admission, which was the most budget-friendly option. You’ll get to see the penguins make their grand entrance as the sun sets, and it’s an epic wildlife spectacle.

I got to the stands early to snag a front-row seat for the best views and photos. However, you can’t take pics of the penguins as they come out of the water. Here’s a hot tip: after you see a few groups scurry up to their burrows, head back up the boardwalk you came down. You’ll find super close interactions with these cuties that the rangers don’t usually mention. Oh and just be ready for crowds, as this is Phillip Island’s most popular attraction.
