The Shipwreck SS Speke on Phillip Island is a seriously cool piece of maritime history that you’ve gotta check out. This wreck, which went down in 1906, is chillingly cool and has a bit of an eerie vibe as it slowly gets reclaimed by the ocean. To get there, it's just a short 1-kilometer return walk from the car park. Head down the stairs, walk left along the beach, and look for a dirt track that’ll lead you straight to the wreck.

From the lookout, you get a rad view of the ship’s rusted remains sticking out of the water. It’s like seeing a ghost ship come to life right before your eyes. The spot is perfect for snapping some dramatic photos with the shipwreck set against the rugged coastline and ocean backdrop. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for seabirds and maybe even a seal or two, nature’s way of making your visit even more epic. If you’re into history or just love a good coastal adventure, the SS Speke is a must-see.
