Photospot
Oh man, I’d give anything to revisit this spot, it’s easily one of my favorite stops along the Great Ocean Road. The Redwoods in the Otways is where you can step into a dreamscape where towering Californian Redwood trees have found a new home in Victoria. Planted back in 1936 as part of an experiment, these majestic giants now create a fairy-tale-like atmosphere that’s absolutely mesmerizing.
As you wander through this enchanting forest, you’ll find yourself dwarfed by the colossal trunks and enveloped by the lush canopy overhead. The experience is nothing short of magical, and every turn seems to reveal another picture-perfect moment. It's the ideal place for a photo shoot, whether you’re capturing the grandeur of the trees, the play of light through the leaves, or the misty ambiance of dawn and dusk, this forest offers endless creative opportunities.
If you’re an early riser or enjoy a quiet evening, the creek here is a gem for spotting platypus, specifically around dawn or dusk. These elusive creatures add a touch of wildlife magic to the already stunning landscape. The combination of towering redwoods, serene creeks, and the chance to spot unique wildlife makes this a must-visit for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. It’s a destination where the wonder of the natural world truly shines!
