This is by far one of the most underrated hikes I did in Blue Mountains National Park. The Victoria Falls hike is absolutely stunning, and I didn’t see another soul the entire time, seriously, I don’t get why it’s not more talked about! The trail is a manageable 4-kilometer round-trip, which is a steal for the reward of two breathtaking waterfalls.

The adventure begins at the car park at the end of Victoria Falls Road. From there, you’ll start by soaking in the panoramic views at Victoria Falls lookout. The trail then descends through lush bushland, with approximately 7,000 stairs to tackle, so be ready for a workout that will definitely test your calves and quads. You’ll reach a signpost where you’ll turn right towards the cascades.

Your first stop will be the Silver Cascades, which are absolutely stunning and offer a peaceful backdrop for a quick rest. Take your time to enjoy the tranquil setting and the soothing sound of the cascading water. After soaking in the beauty of Silver Cascades, retrace your steps back to the sign and head left, following the path marked as ‘Burra Korain Blue.’ This will lead you to Victoria Falls, which is equally impressive and offers a serene spot perfect for a picnic or a refreshing dip, especially in the warmer months. The cool water and the surrounding natural beauty make it a lovely spot to relax.

Just be prepared for the steep hike back up, it’s a real leg-burner, but totally worth it for the stunning sights you’ll experience. Plus, the solitude and natural beauty of the falls make this hike a truly rewarding escape.
