Water Nymphs Dell is truly a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains, offering a magical experience that feels like stepping into a fairytale. By day, it's a stunning, lush rainforest complete with a charming waterfall, while by night, it transforms into a glowing wonderland with thousands of twinkling glow worms illuminating the area. Finding the trailhead can be a bit tricky. Park across the road from 30 Glenview Rd, where there's a small dirt driveway that can accommodate a car or two. Given its remote location, it's quite unlikely you'll encounter many other visitors, so there's ample space to park.
The trail itself is somewhat rugged and overgrown, reflecting its hidden nature. Despite its short length of 1.4 kilometers, it’s fairly steep, so bring some water and be prepared for a bit of a climb on the way back up. As you make your way down, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of the waterfall, which feels like your own private retreat. There’s a path that leads you under and behind the falls, allowing for a full exploration of this enchanting spot.
If you have the chance to visit at night, you'll experience the dell’s transformation into a magical landscape of glowing worms. Although I visited during the day and couldn’t witness the glow worms myself, I highly recommend giving it a try if you can. The combination of the lush greenery and the sparkling nighttime display makes Water Nymphs Dell a must-see for those seeking a touch of natural magic.
