Sanssouci Park is a stunning park located in the historical city of Potsdam, Germany. The park was built by Frederick the Great in the mid-1700s and features a Baroque flower garden with lawns, flower beds, and trees. There are many interesting attractions at the park, including a picturesque obelisk entrance, an Aquarian Grotto, and the iconic New Palace which marks the end of the 2.5 km long main avenue. A standout feature of the park is its pumping station, designed to look like a “Turkish Mosque with a minaret as a chimney”. As well as the palace, other nearby palaces and parks are UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to their unique architectural unity.
