Mulazzo is a stunning and unique town in the Lunigiana Mountains in Tuscany, Italy. Here one can experience the rich cultural heritage of the area, from its aqueduct and castle ruins, to the Alessandro Malaspina Study Centre, dedicated to navigator Alessandro Malaspina (1754-1810) who sailed around the world and made notable scientific discoveries. One must also visit the church of Madonna al Monte with its incomparable view over the Lunigiana and Campoli's village oratory.
In search of an authentic Paella in the Lunigiana, on a menu with traditional local food? Try Hotel Ristorante El Caracol just outside of the town walls.
