Strokkur Geyser is Iceland's star attraction, shooting water up to 40 meters high every five to ten minutes. Location: Strokkur is situated in on the Golden Circle Route, approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) east of Reykjavik

Frequent Eruptions: Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, making it one of the most reliable geysers in the world. The water column can reach heights of 15 to 20 meters (49 to 66 feet), and sometimes even up to 40 meters (131 feet).

Best Time to Visit: Strokkur can be visited year-round. If you want to avoid the crowds plan to arrive before 10 AM or later in the afternoon

Facilities: The Geysir Visitor Center, located near the parking area, offers restrooms, a café, a restaurant, and a gift shop. Information about the geothermal area and the natural history of geysers is also available.
