Lusto is a museum and science centre that focuses on Finnish forest culture and the interaction between humans and forests from the past to the future. It is located in Punkaharju, Savonlinna, in the midst of the most beautiful landscape of ridges and lakes. Lusto collects and preserves material related to forestry and wood production, the multiple use of forests, and forest culture in general. Lusto offers activities and experiences for all kinds of visitors, such as families, students, groups, and adventurers.
Obs! Lusto is currently closed for exhibition renovation and will reopen in May 2024 with a new core exhibition that will invite visitors to engage in forest discussions and explore the personal, social and global meanings of forests and forest culture.
