Pisamalahti Hill Fort is a historic castle fortress located in Sulkava near Lake Enonvesi's Pisamalahti. The impressive site can be identified by its incredibly steep cliffs on three sides, and the remains of a massive wall are still visible along the somewhat gentler eastern side. Archaeologists believe that it was built during either the Iron Age or the Middle Ages, possibly as a defense against potential attacks from the west. Today, visitors can explore the 120-metre long wall, and the mysterious underground caverns located at the foot of the mountain.

I love this place and visit here almost every summer!

Adress: Linnavuorentie 306, 58700 Sulkava There is less than 0.5 km from the parking lot to the Pisamalahti fort hill.
